As of July 1, 2026, we will no longer be offering lockers from the „EINHEIT“ eG Chemnitz housing cooperative for rent. We have notified all tenants with existing locker rental agreements and issued notices of termination. The existing locker rental agreements will end on December 31, 2026, and the locker facility will be decommissioned.
This decision was not an easy one for us. Despite our efforts, it has become clear since the locker facility began operations in 2024 that we have been unable to meet the conditions necessary for sustainable, profitable operation. As a cooperative, we feel a responsibility to safeguard the economic interests of our members and to use our resources efficiently. After careful consideration, we have therefore concluded that continuing operations is no longer appropriate or economically justifiable.
